Founded in 2002, A Will & Way began by advocating for survivors of domestic violence. Today, we help restore lives and rebuild families through compassionate programs that reach youth, women, men, and entire communities — through mentoring, education, advocacy, and family restoration.

Mae Dixon, Ph.D., President

Professional portrait of Dr. Mae Dixon

Dr. Mae Dixon is an author, educator, life-transformation and spiritual-healing consultant, community leader, and longtime advocate for individuals and families navigating adversity. Her work has included youth development, women's empowerment, survivor advocacy, emotional-intelligence education, leadership training, family restoration, and community-based programming. Through A Will & Way, Inc., she has transformed lived experience and decades of service into practical opportunities for others to heal, grow, and move forward.

Her leadership philosophy is grounded in a simple belief: people are more than what has happened to them, and with support, knowledge, accountability, and opportunity, restoration is possible.
